Damian North began his wine journey working as a sommelier in some of Sydney's top restaurants. After working as a winemaker in the Yarra Valley he moved to Oregon to make nothing but Pinot Noir for 3 years! His return to Australia saw him become head winemaker at Leeuwin Estate for 5 years before starting his own label, Journey Wines.

Applewood Distillery have crafted a gin that takes full advantage of the tart, bright green flavours of Australian Finger Lime and it will be open to taste all weekend in The Wine Loft.

The Rhône Valley is one of the most historic regions for wine production, with evidence of winemaking going back over 2500 years! Join sommelier Maurice Hovens as he breaks down the Rhone Valley blend ‘GSM’ citing both international and local examples.

Part 1: Introduction of two main grapes, their origins and differences
(1) Ferrand Cotes du Rhone 'Mistral' (Grenache dominant)
(2) Nick O'Leary Shiraz 

Part 2: Introduction of Mourvedre, the role of each grape variety in a blend, and the difference between a blend dominated by respectively Mourvedre and Grenache
(3) Tour du Bon Bandol (Mourvedre dominant blend)
(4) Ruggabellus Timaeus (Grenache dominant blend) 

Part 3: Shiraz in debt, difference between cool and warm climate shiraz
(5) Michael Hall Flaxman's Syrah (Eden Valley)
(6) Michael Hall Stonewell Shiraz (Barossa Valley)

It is apple season! We have a wide variety of crisp, juicy and delicious apples that are grown locally! We get our apples from Manjimup farmers meaning they are as fresh as an apple can be! Kanzi, Jazz, Fuji and Royal Galas are in our produce section with Pink Lady apples on their way! They are at their eating best and make for a great snack.

We now have a range of products from The Food Philosopher! Their Extra Virgin Olive Oil is small batch premium Greek EVOO. It comes from Koroni in the southern Peloponnese. All the olive are hand picked and harvest by Kyriako Kasimiotis! The trees are over 500 years old! The Greeks have been making the best extra virgin olive oil ever since the ancients and this product is no exception!
