We are delighted to announce that we are hosting an incredible Italian Wine tasting masterclass with Italian Cheese pairing this Thursday 22nd November. Sommelier Andrew Moody will take you on a unique journey of the Italian wine regions whilst Nick Bath from Blue Cow guides you through the world of Italian cheese. Enjoy discovering new information about wine-making, cheese-making, food and wine pairing in an intimate setting whilst indulging on a beautiful selection of Italian wine and cheese.
This class will be a remarkable tasting of 6 wines paired perfectly with 6 cheese by two of the industries best.
Join us in the Courtyard for a tasting of our annual Christmas Showcase! We will have an array of Christmas products from our local and international suppliers out for tastings. Our Butchery and Deli will be showcasing items from their Christmas catering menus such as Christmas hams & turkeys. Simon Johnson, Cheese Culture and Blue Cow will have their Christmas items available to taste.

We are joined by Veronika & BJ from Woodbridge Smokehouse, Tasmania. Woodbridge Smokehouse produces some of the most mouth-watering and luxuriant smoked Ocean Trout and Atlantic Salmon available today. Situated on the verdant south-east coast of Tasmania, Woodbridge Smokehouse is set in a 25 acre apple orchard. Traditional hand-smoking processes using their own fruit tree wood create the delicate and distinctive flavours for which Woodbridge Smokehouse is renowned.

The holiday season comes early for French wine - lovers when the Beaujolais region releases its new vintage on the third Thursday of November each year. We will be having our own celebration… a celebration of Gamay! We will have several Gamays from France and Australia open to taste. Rare and beautiful wines from producers such as Georges Descombes, Jean Foillard, Domaine Lefarge-Vial and be will be available for discounted prices for this day only.

We are joined by Tom McHugh (formerly of Melbourne’s Gin Palace!) to taste through the spirits of Archie Rose Distillery, including the very limited Summer Gin ‘Bush’ - of which we have managed to secure just 6 bottles! When Archie Rose Distilling Co opened in early 2015, it was the first independent distillery to open in Sydney since the 1850s. The copper pot stills were hand hammered on site and are now responsible for producing internationally award-winning gins, vodkas and whiskies.

Join us in the Loft this Saturday as we taste through a selection of wines from Holly's Garden! In the cool-climate Whitlands high plateau region of Victoria, Holly's Garden is home to voluptuous Pinot Gris and artisan sparkling wines. Grown at 750 metres in the deep volcanic soils of the Whitlands high plateau, their little amphitheatre is the warmest site in the very cool region. The continental location gives cool evenings, which allows the vines to ‘rest’ at night and delays the accumulation of sugar whilst retaining acidity and building flavour. This prolonged ‘hang time’ due to delayed ripening is vital to the production of great wine, and helps create the featured structure and length of Holly’s Garden wines.

Join us in the Loft this weekend to try this unique gin! Iron Balls Gin is meticulously crafted at A.R. Sutton & Co. Engineers micro-distillery in the heart of Bangkok by master distiller and Fremantle local Ash Sutton. This gin is handmade from fermentation to distillation using freshly cracked coconuts and pineapple with hints of juniper, hillside ginger and lemongrass. Due to the small size of the distillery, production is extremely limited. Pop up to the Wine Loft this weekend to have a taste of this perfect summer gin!
