In conjunction with our Annual Spanish Paella Festival, the Wine Loft will be opening delicious wines from Spain to taste! With the wide selection of flavours that come with Paella, it is a dish that is surprisingly easy to pair with wine. We have selected four wines from four different wine regions of Spain to pair with the delicious Paella's being offered.

Join us as we showcase all the delicious and wonderful things about Spain! Come and watch our chefs make traditional Spanish paella - we will have samples out to taste and take home cooked paella available. We will have a variety of salame, chorizo, Sardinian sausages, manchego, fresh seafood and much more! Our sommelier will have a variety of Spanish wines open to taste!
Fraser Gallop Estate is set upon 165 acres of undulating land on Metricup Road, Wilyabrup, in the Margaret River region. All vines are dry-grown. The dominant variety is Cabernet Sauvignon (17 acres), supplemented by other red Bordeaux varieties and 17 acres of Chardonnay.The philosophy is to allow the fruit to speak for itself. Through minimal intervention and the use of traditional techniques, as well as the latest technology, the team strive to create wines that show balance and finesse upon release and have the structure and pedigree to thrive with careful cellaring.

The Farm House is a family owned fresh meat butchery, smokehouse and small goods maker. The proprietor and general manager is David Hohnen. David is better known as a winemaker and he uses those same skills in the preparation of herbs and spices for the specialty fresh sausages, smoked sausage and fresh honey brines for cured and smoked products.They use freshly prepared shavings from apple tree logs sourced in Donnybrook orchards to impart their unique smokey flavour and aroma. Here at the Boatshed Market we sell 4 varieties of the Farm House Small goods including; Natural bacon, House Eye Bacon, Premium Ham and Beef Pastrami.
This Saturday the 28th of July the team from Jardin Estate located in the Margaret River region of WA will be in store offering ttastings of their handmade premium butter range. The Jardin Estate butter range consists of; Truffle, Honey, Garlic, Salted and Unsalted and we happily offer the full range here at the Boatshed Market. Jardin Estate are a small business who have a passion in growing and presenting fresh produce with the focus on being food "purveyors of the unusual" they have chosen product lines with a unique appeal suitable to their property just east of Cowaramup which fully complement Margaret River’s wine offering and greater regional identity.
Join us this Saturday between 11-1:30pm for our in-store Heidi Raclette tasting! Heidi Farm Raclette, Australia's most awarded cheese, presents an intense perfume and a mild nutty, milky flavour. The rind of the cheese is washed and scrubbed during production, promoting flavour development and ripening. The supple, satiny interior of this multiple Australian Grand Champion Cheese is best appreciated when the cheese is melted or cooked. Traditionally Raclette is melted on a burner, scrapped and eaten with boiled waxy potatoes and pickles.
Adam Foster was a chef who became a sommelier and then a winemaker. After having the privilege of working with some of the most outstanding wineries in Australia and France (Torbreck, Chapoutier, Mitchelton, Heathcote Winery ,Domaine Ogier, Jasper Hill, Domaine Pierre Gaillard), he’s now growing vines in Heathcote. He is passionate about Shiraz, or “Syrah” as it’s known in Europe, aptly naming his wine label ‘Syrahmi’.
Tripe Iscariot was born out of the desires of Remi Guise to see more interesting wines on the market although his aim is certainly NOT to make weird wines! His very serious expressions of Grenache, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay are beautiful, textural, full of flavor. Join us in the Loft for a complimentary tasting and live jazz! Remi will be talking us through this delicious wines and his personal wine journey!

Despite solid winemaking roots, Nic Peterkin was never going to rest on his family’s laurels. He created LAS Vino to forge his own path, and the results are testament to his drive and talent. Peterkin’s parents have been involved in the wine industry from the pioneering days in Margaret River. His mother Shelley is a daughter of Di and Kevin Cullen. His father Mike was one of the few qualified winemakers working in the region in the 1970s and 80s, and founded Pierro. For young Nic, the everyday life of the winery was part of the backdrop against which his life was played out.
LAS Vino owns no vineyard, choosing instead to scour Margaret River in search of parcels of fruit that suit the stylistic direction Peterkin is chasing. Peterkin’s winemaking is very much from the soft-touch school, gentle handling of the fruit, minimal manipulation of the wines, allowing the inherent flavours and textures to shine.

Stuart's winemaking career commenced more than 30 years ago when he moved to Margaret River to help his parents produce with their new wine label Sussex Vale. This vineyard has since become the well-respected Hayshed Hill.
His winemaking experience includes some of Margaret River's best loved names including Voyager Estate (1991-2000), Devil's Lair (2000-2008) and Stella Bella (2008-2013). Stuart also worked at Matilda Bay Brewing Company during the peak of their success in the late '80s and was responsible for several vintages abroad and on Australia's east coast.

Join us this Saturday for our in-store Raclette tasting! We will have the professionals in store showing us how it's done. Raclette is a particular kind of Swiss cheese, and the dish in which it plays the main ingredient. The cheese itself is firm and when grilled under direct heat: Raclette develops a nutty, full sweet flavour with a crisp, delightfully chewy crust.
