A lovely rose-gold Rosé, richly perfumed with aromas of ripe strawberries and tangerine. Compelling and complex with subtle flinty notes, lemon thyme and a little spice as it unfurls in the glass.
It’s just a little above your regular Rosé in terms of weight – a smooth gloss and creaminess, the flavours glide seamlessly along the palate. Ripe strawberry, blood orange and a hint of dried herbs. Bright citrus acidity lifts the flavours and zips them through to a dry and gently textured finish. Complex, beautifully balanced with exceptional texture and excellent length.

A beautiful wine that has been masterfully put together. Fresh and zippy Riesling brings a wonderful fresh line of acidity and a lime tang. This is complimented with the aromatic qualities of Gewürztraminer that bring spice and florals. Ultimately this is a bright and refreshing style of white wine that is hard to stop drinking once you start!

Swinney Riesling 2021 - 21st in Top 25 Wines of WA

Open for Complimentary Tasting this weekend in the Loft!

A racy, skeletal Riesling that’s right in the zone as a summer thirst-crusher with purity and length. Understated, albeit very, very frisky with its acidity. Zooms along at pace, stuffs florals and more citrus under your nose, finishes bone dry. Great drinking.
Fourth Generation Swinneys, siblings Matt and Janelle, grew up working alongside their parents and grandparents on the family farm at Franklands, gaining a deep respect for family, farming and the region. Growing and making is a way of life for the Swinney family, so it’s no surprise that even when they ventured further afield to other parts of the world for their respective careers, this special place was always going to draw them back. Today, Matt and Janelle have assembled a uniquely skilled team and are focussed on producing wines that reflect their home and which, ultimately, redefine what is possible from the Frankland River region. Rob Mann, chief winemaker is descended from an Australian winemaking family stretching back six generations. Honing his skills both here and abroad, he has lent his hand to some of the world’s most distinguished labels. After senior roles at Hardy's Tintara, Cape Mentelle and most recently at the Newton Vineyard in Napa Valley, Rob joined the Swinney team in 2018, inspired by an exceptional fruit source and a shared vision to make distinguished regional wines, comparable to the country’s greatest. Rob underplays his role as a winemaker—his guiding philosophy is that “great wine is made in the vineyard”. He attributes the success of winemaking to great teamwork , emphasising that everyone must be on the same page, otherwise the tension will be evident in the wine. Ultimately, from a winery perspective, Rob’s goal is simply to let the vineyard shine, and his approach to winemaking results in wines that clearly convey the personality of both region and site.

Swinney’s deft touch with syrah brings delight and pleasure. This exceptional medium-weight red is fragrant, spicy and rich, but still fresh with scents of raspberry and rosy florals, and a pure, silky feel. Game meat and sweet spice notes bring complexity. A wine of ease and significant beauty, and a high-water mark for premium red in WA.

Akkem Manchego - aged for 3 months! Join us for our in-store tasting today, Saturday 16 October 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm. This classic Spanish cheese is only made in the La Mancha region, and only from Manchega ewe's milk. Easily identified by its distinctive l basket-weave patterned rind, you will immediately notice the uniquely grassy, nutty flavour profile. Aging the wheel for 3 months means the cheese is still supple and balanced nicely between sweetness and tang. It is traditionally eaten with sweet quince paste and will pair beautifully with Sainte-Marie Rosé!
Domaine des Grandes Espérances Rouge 2019
Friday, 8 October - Sunday, 10 October 2021
7th Oct 2021 | Tasting & Events
Friday, 8 October - Sunday, 10 October 2021
Complimentary Tasting
The Domaine des Grandes Espérances is committed to an organic wine-growing approach, now certified by Ecocert. But even if the Domaine holds environmental concerns dear to its heart, drinking enjoyment comes a close second. Its wines are generous, full of fun, charm, and promise… that’s right, it is all about “grandes espérances” (great expectations). With a pretty ruby colour, La Java red from Grandes Espérances develops very fruity aromas of very ripe red fruit (strawberry, raspberry, etc) that, on the palate, blend with slightly spicy. A very delicious, smooth and well structured wine with nice smooth tannin.
