Made by the Pannell Family of Picardy, this iconic small production Pinot Noir represents great approachability and value. In the Picardy stable, this cuvée is the wine that is relied upon for winemaking trials and innovations. Having said that, the wine is notoriously hard to get a hold of due to its price point and reliability.

The palate is medium-bodied, juicy and immediately likeable, with red fruits at the centre and a subtle savoury detail that brings to mind smoked bone broth or cured meat. The tannins have a fine, lightly grainy feel, adding shape without heaviness, while a cool, stony impression runs through the finish. Bright, balanced and satisfying, with good length and plenty of personality for the price.
