To celebrate World Margarita Day on Thursday, 22 February 2024 we will be serving Tommy's Margaritas in the Loft using 818 Tequila Blanco. Enjoy one (or two!) of these delicious and refreshing margaritas alongside traditional guacamole, salsa and corn chips. Our Tommy’s Margarita is made to showcase the finest tequila using lime juice, agave nectar & 818 Tequila Blanco. Shaken then poured over ice, this is the perfect drink to celebrate World Margarita Day.
Founded by Kendall Jenner, 818 Tequila Blanco is made using 100% Blue Weber agave from family-owned farms in Jalisco. The agave is hand-picked by Jimadores and cooked in traditional brick ovens. It is aged in American & French oak barrels. The taste is of sweet agave and vanilla, with undertones of tropical and citrus fruit. It is brilliant platinum in colour with a light body. The aroma is one of lemongrass, mild floral elements and chamomile. The finish is ultra-smooth that is bright and crispy. There are notes of almond, lime and toasted coconut. What is makes this tequila special is that it has rested in oak barrels for a fresh vanilla roundness.

The result of 28 days in the dry ager is the most tender, textural, flavoursome and superior piece of meat that will melt in your mouth.
Open to taste and by the glass this weekend, the Wine Loft will be featuring three wines from the talented Mulline Vintners of Geelong, Victoria. Mulline is a double dose of Bens, specifically winemaker Ben Mullen and business brain and wine drinker Ben Hine – between the pair they’re crafting some of the most exciting, delicious, and versatile wines out of the region. Distributor Andrew Moody will be hosting the Wine Loft this Friday, 16 February 2024 from 4 pm to 6 pm to talk and taste through the line up.

Open to taste this weekend in the Wine Loft are two wines we have chosen that are perfect for Valentine's Day celebrations. The first is the Deviation Road Altair Rosé NV, a rosé that is restrained, elegant and balanced to perfection. The second is a Pemberton icon, the Picardy Chardonnay 2022, a wine reminiscent of the “big and buttery” chardonnay of old with incredible depth and richness without losing freshness, balance, or fruit purity.

Open to taste this weekend in the Wine Loft are three Italian whites from the Island of Sicily. The warm mediterranean climate of Sicily delivers wines that are fresh with high acidity, gorgeous fruit and a versatility that pairs with a variety of cuisines. We will be featuring the three classic Sicilian varieties of Catarratto, Grillo and the ever so popular Carricante from the volcanic foothills of Mount Etna.

Just in time for Australia Day long weekend entertaining, the full range of bottled cocktails from Republic of Fremantle will be on price promotion and open to taste in the Loft! We are joined by Tom Hutchings, Head Distiller, tomorrow Thursday 25 January from 4 pm to 6 pm in the Wine Loft for a complimentary tasting.Having been awarded WA Bar of the Year in 2022, the team at Republic of Freo know a thing or two about serving up a phenomenal cocktail. Serve up sophisticated Spritzes, Martinis or Negronis in a matter of seconds.
Linea Retta is a winemaking collaboration between two renowned winemakers: Italy’s Giorgio Rivetti of La Spinetta and Western Australia’s own Larry Cherubino. Larrys love of Italy, in particular the wines of Piedmont meant that when the opportunity arose to collaborate with Giorgio he could not resist. Together they have crafted a range of wines that speak of place and the people that make them.

We now have stock of the 2022 vintage from one of the most popular rosé wines in the country! 2022 was the driest year in France, thankfully the high elevation and sustainable wine-growing practices mitigated much of the impact. The hot conditions led to an earlier harvest where the timing was essential in retaining freshness, and an extra gentle wine-making approach ensured the classic bright red fruit characteristics AIX is renowned for.
A bright, joyous, pale pink colour in the glass. A swirl lifts the intense nose of fresh peach juice, raspberries, and white floral blossom to the fore. Fresh stone fruit, raspberries, and the classic cranberry tang lead the palate and balance the fine acid tension. The AIX Rosé 2022 finishes with a refreshingly long, dry, and balanced mineral line. A wine that exceeded expectations!

One of the most progressive houses in Champagne, the esteemed maison of Louis Roederer, has added to their Collection series with the sensational Collection 244. It was a revolutionary move in the world of champagne, phasing out their iconic Brut Premier to lead with their new Collection Series. Ahead of its time, the house has now incorporated climate change in its core wine-making, with a warmer climate and riper fruits, the winemaker must ensure the wine still holds its freshness. This new edition is based on the 2019 harvest with a blend of three grapes: 41% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Noir and 26% Pinot Meunier. Join Kris Ambrozkiewicz in the loft on Saturday, 2 December from 12 pm -3 pm as he shares the range with us. Bizzarro’s all-natural apéritifs are one of the best pre-mix cans going around! The foundation is Vermentino wine, steeped in rinds and peels of Riverland lemons and oranges which are distilled with gentian and rhubarb root to boost bitterness. Bizzarro’s aromatic spices like coriander seed and cinnamon round out the drink’s profile. Bizzarro Australiano ft. Maidenii, Bizzarro Spritz and Bizzarro ft. Mischief Brew are available from the Loft. All three are wildly refreshing, hand-made in small batches and are an all-natural apéritivo that evokes La Dolce Vita with an Aussie twang!

We will be shucking fresh oysters from Coffin Bay for you to enjoy alongside a glass or two of Champagne during the showcase.
