For the last weekend of our 4-part tasting series, we will taste another French wine vs one from the Swan Valley. From Chinon in the Loire Valley, we have Charles Joguet's ‘Les Petites Roches’ Chenin Blanc which we will taste next to Corymbia's ‘Rocket’s Vineyard' Chenin Blanc from Swan Valley. Chenin Blanc is an incredibly dynamic and versatile example of a wine that can appeal to many tastes and match with so many dishes, which is why it is consistently a favourite of ours. Both wines are open for a complimentary tasting and available by the glass in the Wine Loft this weekend from Thursday, 25 July - Sunday 28 July.

Join us for an evening in the Wine Loft with our exceptional Cheesemonger, Cindy Colling. Cindy will be presenting and cracking a full wheel of this outstanding raw milk cheddar from the Inner Hebrides. Our Wine Loft team have chosen two Italian wines that complement the hard, crumbly and full flavoured nature of this cloth bound cheddar.

Taste this unique cheese and these two wines whilst learning all about Sgriob-ruadh farm and the Reade family. For those would like to linger longer, Cindy has put together a wonderful cheese board featuring the Farmhouse Cheddar that is perfect to share. The wines on tasting are available to purchase by the glass or bottle. Our full food and by the glass menu is available.

Sgriob-ruadh is a family-run dairy farm on the Isle of Mull in Scotland’s Inner Hebrides. The Reade family have been dairy farming for 50+ years and making cheese for over four decades. The award-winning Traditional Farmhouse Isle of Mull Cheese has been made by the family since 1980. This hearty, full-flavoured Scottish Farmhouse Cheddar is fresh, grassy and herbaceous taste that lingers.

Cantina Cellaro 'Bacaro' Nero d'Avola 2022 from Sicily and Tenuta Ulisse Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2022 from Abruzzo will be open to taste alongside the cheese.

Complimentary tasting this Saturday, 20 July from 11 am - 1 pm! Epiros Organic Feta PDO cheese is produced exclusively from Greek, organic, pasteurized goat and sheep milk. It has a smooth and creamy texture, rich and tangy taste profile, excellent aftertaste and is perfect enjoyed in a salad, or alongside heirloom tomatoes.

Continuing our Tour de France in the Loft, this week we are looking at Rhone Valley vs Central Victorian reds. We have the Mas de Libian ‘Bout d’Zan’ from Cotes du Rhone and Place of Changing Winds' Syrah No.2 open to taste this weekend. If you like a French style Syrah or a Rhone Valley blend, then drop by to taste these two dynamic wines this weekend, or enjoy a glass or bottle in the Wine Loft Bar.

To celebrate Bastille Day this Sunday, 14 July, we have Hubert Gourmet joining us in store for a complimentary tasting from 11 AM - 1 PM. We will have Traditional Duck Foies Gras and Duck Terrine with Green Peppercorn from Comtesse du Barry available to taste. Comtesse du Barry use French meat in their Terrines & Foies Gras, and all of their products are produced in their local factory in the South of France.

Our Wine Loft team have selected two chardonnays for complimentary tasting this weekend in a Burgundy vs Margaret River themed tasting. We have the L.A.S. Vino Chardonnay from Margaret River versus the Verget ‘Terres et Pierres’ Chardonnay from Macon, in Burgundy's South. Enjoy a tasting, or by the glass in the loft alongside our French Cheese Board or Charcuterie, available all weekend!

This month the Wine Loft has put together a four-part tasting series celebrating French wines to sip as we celebrate upcoming Bastille Day, the Paris Olympics and the Tour de France. This week, we are pouring two wines made in the style of Bordeaux's right bank Chateaux which produce lush, rich and powerful wines with lovely concentration of black cherry and plummy flavours. Open to taste and available by the glass in the Wine Loft Bar, will be Blue Poles' Allouran from Margaret River up against Bordeaux's Ronan by Clinet 2018.

Join us for a weekend of Bastille Day celebrations!

Enjoy a quintessential French culinary experience with cheese, wine & more! Our Fromagerie will be offering a complimentary tasting of French Milledome Raclette, which will be served on a slice of freshly baked baguette topped with a crunchy cornichon. We have selected a range of the most delicious French cheeses with special pricing over the weekend. Our talented in-house chefs will be serving an array of incredible and authentic French dishes that will be available from our hot food deli, and our Bakery has prepared all of your favourite French treats, from Macarons to Galettes, and a range of goods from Perth's finest French patisserie La Galette. Our Butchery has prepared their homemade Saucisse de Toulouse, a traditional French sausage that is full of flavour, as well as our classic Filet Mignon that will be available 2 for $29 on Sunday only.


Join us in the cosy ambience of the Wine Loft over the weekend and enjoy a French cheese board curated by our cheesemonger, featuring Le Conquérant Camembert, Époisses and Papillon Roquefort. Our knowledgeable Wine Loft staff have selected a French and a Margaret River Chardonnay that will be available for complimentary tasting & by the glass. For a heartier French fare, we will be serving a special menu of French delicacies, available on Sunday only.

This weekend we are featuring an immensely delicious pinot noir from Small Island Wines of Tasmania’s Saltwater River. We will have this wine available for complimentary tasting and by the glass in the Wine Loft all weekend. The Black Label is quintessential Tasmanian pinot noir with hints of cassis, dark cherries, cured meat and a dash of oak, this wine has a lot going on. Perfect for any dinner party or a special night in. A cooler year helped to maintain amazing acidity while allowing fruit complexity to develop. The long growing season has really added wonderful character to this classic Tasmanian wine.

Enjoy new season, locally grown Manjimup Black Truffles, with unique truffle cheeses hand-selected by our cheesemonger Cindy. Guest chef Nino D’Alo from La Delizia will prepare Black Truffle Casarecce with mushroom confit and freshly shaved truffle, which will be available for complimentary tasting. Our Wine Loft team have selected the delicious Small Island 2023 Black Label Pinot Noir, which pairs perfectly with truffles.

Pork & Black Truffle Brätwurst

We now have stock of locally grown, new season Manjimup Black Truffles. The richness of the Manjimup soils and the cool climate is ideally suited to grow premium black truffles. Our Butchers use these new season, fresh black truffles and free range pork from WA owned Plantagenet Pork in a time honoured, traditional German recipe to create a sensational Brätwurst that is full of flavour. Join us in The Butchery this Saturday, 22 June from 10 AM for a live cooking demo and complimentary tasting of our delicious, seasonal Brätwurst. Due to the short truffle season, these sausages will only be available from our butchery for a limited time.

To celebrate the winter solstice we have distributor Adam Sharpe to share a range of Cullen Wines with us on Friday, 21 June from 4 PM - 6 PM. Discover the flavours and character of these wines that are biodynamically grown under the Margaret River moonlight. We will taste Cullen’s ‘Grace Madeline’ Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, ’East Block’ Malbec/Petit Verdot, and the classic Cullen Cabernet Merlot; or you can stay for a while and enjoy each of these by the glass.

This unique dessert is a crustless cheesecake with a burnt exterior crust that has a delicious caramel note. The filling of this basque burnt cheesecake is mousse-like, which makes it absolutely irresistible. The rustic-looking sides and the slightly sunken center are a part of its charm, our burnt cheesecake is like a combination of an airy souffle and crème brulée, making it difficult to stop at just a single slice!

La Boqueria Wild Boar & Truffle Salami, available for complimentary tasting in The Butchery this Saturday, 15 June! This limited edition salami is produced using wild boar, truffles, rehydrated wild mushrooms and red wine, all sourced from NSW and combined using an old Spanish recipe. It has a semi-firm texture with sweet mushroom and truffle flavour.
