The Art Series represents Leeuwin’s most opulent and age-worthy wines from each vintage. They are identified with paintings commissioned from leading contemporary Australian artists. Leeuwin Estate winemaker Phil Hutchison will be joining us for a guided tasting of some of Margaret River’s most coveted wines, including the most recent release of Art Series Chardonnay, recently awarded 99 points by Ray Jordon.

Join us for live jazz and a wine tasting with Paul Nelson. Paul Nelson Wines is a small wine producer based in Denmark, Western Australia. Previously working for big wineries like Houghtons, in 2009 Paul turned his attention to creating his own, highly boutique wines from the oldest vineyard and cellar door in Denmark. His first year as a go-it-alone winemaker saw his winery listed as a James Halliday Top 10 winery.

Sake, a drink that appears on many menus but still remains a mystery. A drink that is refined and complex and deserves to be understood! Join us in the Wine Loft as sake sommelier Tika Maya Vujovic as she introduces us to the world of premium Japanese sake. Tika has expertly paired the following sakes with a selection of premium international cheeses. Guests will also enjoy a Japanese rice lager from Echigo Koshihikari (Japan’s first craft brewery) on arrival.

Owen Latta's winemaking experience started in 1999 at the age of 15 when he took over the hands on winemaking at his family's winery, Eastern Peake, in Ballarat (officially taking over in 2008). Since then, Owen has set the Australian wine industry on fire with a two-pronged attack. First, a classic range of premium Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and Syrahs under the Eastern Peake label. And second, his wilder stylings pushing the boundaries of the Australian winemaking avant-garde under Latta Vino.
Owen Latta is one of the most inspired young winemakers in the country. His wines are outrageously delicious, compelling, textural and detailed. Valerie Henbest has been quietly revolutionising the
cheese drawers of Australia, as well as the way people think about their food,
for years. Born in France, Valerie migrated to Australia in the early 1990’s.
She has always been interested in cheese, having grown up in Normandie – the
home of Camembert.
Valerie’s knowledge, appreciation and enormous passion for cheese has taken her around the world. Settled in Adelaide, Valerie has developed The Smelly Cheese Shop’s successful series of Cheese Master Classes which are now presented nationally.
We are incredibly excited to announce that Valerie will be joining us Thursday 23rd for an intimate cheese and wine masterclass. Brash Higgins is the label of winemaking American-turned-honorary-Aussie, Brad Hickey. In his former life, Hickey was one of America’s top sommeliers, working for many years crafting some of New York’s finest wine lists. He came to Australia and fell in love with McLaren Vale and local vigneron Nicole Thorpe, with whom he now produces highly characterful, minimalist wines. The wines are extremely expressive; trailblazers of their genre!

Picardy is one of Australia's leading premium boutique wine producers, established in 1993 in the Pemberton region of Western Australia. Picardy is owned and operated by Bill, Sandra, and Dan Pannell. Bill and Sandra were pioneers of the Margaret River region, establishing Moss Wood vineyard and winery in 1969. Dan Pannell joins us this Friday for a special tasting which will include his premium Pinot ‘Tete de Cuvee’.

Fraser Gallop Estate is set upon 165 acres of undulating land on Metricup Road, Wilyabrup, in the Margaret River region. All vines are dry-grown. The dominant variety is Cabernet Sauvignon (17 acres), supplemented by other red Bordeaux varieties and 17 acres of Chardonnay.The philosophy is to allow the fruit to speak for itself. Through minimal intervention and the use of traditional techniques, as well as the latest technology, the team strive to create wines that show balance and finesse upon release and have the structure and pedigree to thrive with careful cellaring.

The Farm House is a family owned fresh meat butchery, smokehouse and small goods maker. The proprietor and general manager is David Hohnen. David is better known as a winemaker and he uses those same skills in the preparation of herbs and spices for the specialty fresh sausages, smoked sausage and fresh honey brines for cured and smoked products.They use freshly prepared shavings from apple tree logs sourced in Donnybrook orchards to impart their unique smokey flavour and aroma. Here at the Boatshed Market we sell 4 varieties of the Farm House Small goods including; Natural bacon, House Eye Bacon, Premium Ham and Beef Pastrami.
This Saturday the 28th of July the team from Jardin Estate located in the Margaret River region of WA will be in store offering ttastings of their handmade premium butter range. The Jardin Estate butter range consists of; Truffle, Honey, Garlic, Salted and Unsalted and we happily offer the full range here at the Boatshed Market. Jardin Estate are a small business who have a passion in growing and presenting fresh produce with the focus on being food "purveyors of the unusual" they have chosen product lines with a unique appeal suitable to their property just east of Cowaramup which fully complement Margaret River’s wine offering and greater regional identity.
Join us this Saturday between 11-1:30pm for our in-store Heidi Raclette tasting! Heidi Farm Raclette, Australia's most awarded cheese, presents an intense perfume and a mild nutty, milky flavour. The rind of the cheese is washed and scrubbed during production, promoting flavour development and ripening. The supple, satiny interior of this multiple Australian Grand Champion Cheese is best appreciated when the cheese is melted or cooked. Traditionally Raclette is melted on a burner, scrapped and eaten with boiled waxy potatoes and pickles.
Adam Foster was a chef who became a sommelier and then a winemaker. After having the privilege of working with some of the most outstanding wineries in Australia and France (Torbreck, Chapoutier, Mitchelton, Heathcote Winery ,Domaine Ogier, Jasper Hill, Domaine Pierre Gaillard), he’s now growing vines in Heathcote. He is passionate about Shiraz, or “Syrah” as it’s known in Europe, aptly naming his wine label ‘Syrahmi’.
