We are excited to offer wines from the iconic Dolomiti producer Elisabetta Foradori! The biodynamic winery focuses on the traditional Trentino varieties of Teroldego, Nosiola and Manzoniand there's no one better to summarise their philosophy than Elisabetta herself: ‘We do not intervene in the winery; nothing is added, but we guide the wine while paying attention to its needs. Thus, the wine keeps an expressive spontaneity and bears the personality of its intense and live raw material. In this way, we seem to bring into the wineglass the fragrance of the flowers from the mountain pastures, the minerality of the surrounding cliffs, the transparency of the mountain skies, the character of the people that live in these alpine valleys. It is our duty to convey with each bottle the character of the land of Trentino.’

Pimientos de Padron, the Padron chilli is most commonly consumed when small and green, when it has a fresh and sweet flavour. It is traditionally sauteed in olive oil and sea salt, and served in tapas bars across their hometown of Spain. When fully mature, they are red in colour and much spicier than their green counterparts. Whilst generally a mild chilli, measuring in between 500 to 2500 Scoville Heat Units, the occasional rogue Padron has earned this chilli the nickname of the 'spanish roulette' as some individual pods are significantly hotter.

The magic of this wines comes from the hand of Maria Jover, a 28 year old winemaker who has transferred her modern view in wine making to the organic Parajes del Valle vineyard in Jumilla, Spain. A name given to Mourvedre grapes grown in Spain, it’s the second most popular grape grown after Tempranillo. This fresh and elegant interpretation of the Monastrell is available in the Loft!

The broth is cooked for over 12 hours with seasonal vegetables, herbs, spices and apple cider vinegar which gives it a rounded, alkalizing element. We are now stocking the full range of pre-made pasta from Eat Pasta! This slow-dried, bronze-drawn egg pasta is handcrafted by Italian artisans in Melbourne, Australia, using 100% durum wheat, free range eggs, generations of Italian know how and a lot of love. Slow dried at low temperatures for up to 24 hours, maximising taste, proteins and nutrients. Drawn through traditional bronze dies, this special process gives the pasta its light yellow characteristic and a textured finish, allowing sauce to adhere better. Just arrived in our Wine Loft! Nikka made a bold move when they released their range of Coffey distilled whiskies,(Coffey grain 2012, followed by a Coffey-distilled 100% malt whisky two years later). Now they're extending the line into new categories with the launch of a new gin and vodka, both based on their Coffey distillate. Nikka's version is produced with eleven botanicals, including yuzu, sansho pepper, kabosu, amanatsu, and shequasar, a native citrus. Other botanicals include juniper, angelica, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, and apple juice. It's also bottled at a higher than normal ABV of 47% Alc./Vol.
